ABB UNITROL 1020

The ABB UNITROL 1020 is a digital automatic voltage regulator (AVR) designed for small and medium-sized synchronous generators, motors and industrial machines. As part of the ABB UNITROL 1000 excitation family, it combines microprocessor-based control with IGBT power electronics to provide fast and accurate excitation and voltage regulation. The UNITROL 1020 supports continuous excitation current output up to 20 A DC.

The UNITROL 1020 is widely used in power generation, industrial plants, marine power systems, diesel and gas generator sets, railway traction and emergency power applications. Its functions include automatic voltage regulation, field current regulation, reactive power and power factor control, as well as synchronization and monitoring functions.
